I was reading Wardina's experience sharing, to realize that Ilhan belum ditrain utk solat 5 waktu.

And she's already 7 going 8 years.

Alamak..

She knows how to solat, cuma salah aku tak really push her to perform them 5 times a day.

Good thing bila Ilhan balik kampung cuti sekolah haritu, dan kena solat dgn opah & atuk. So bila balik Penang, she has already following a routine. Cuma subuh mmg susah.

Zohor, during school days adalah tertinggal terus, sbb school starts at 1PM and there's no surau at her school (read : sjkc) . I'm looking forward nak jumpa ustazah dia to find ways utk solat time recess, 3PM.

Asar, will be done at nursery - around 640PM, after school, lambat sikit tapi janji dia solat. Dah pesan pun kat pengetua nursery to make sure dia solat right after school.

Maghrib & isya will be done together, so far so good.

And, mengikut nasihat Wardina; each time after solat, I will whisper prayers to Allah -

"Ya Allah, jadikanlah Ilhan Yasmin hambaMu yg sentiasa tekun mengerjakan solat 5 waktu"

Making sure she listens, so she understands.

And seriously Ya Allah, perkenankanlah doa ku. Dan istiqamahkanlah usaha kami.

Aku rasa huduh sangat la ni. Aishh, dengan debabnya, dengan muka sepinggan, malas nak belit tudung, duk pakai tudung express (pastu herot pulak tu).

Lagi-lagi bila dah tembam ni, baju cantik disarung mesti jadi tak elok dah. Oih serius nih. Buat perabih duit pi beli baju cun-cun.

Make up? nak belit tudung pun aku malas, nak pandang make up lagi lah.

1. I have gave up a lot of dreams, among them are living overseas. Yup, aku rasa dah invalid, for my other half is not sharing the same dream. As for now, dream aku cumalah berharap his dream is not to grow old in Kelantan.

2. Being older, i realise i haven't got any close friend. Ada, but not as close as before. None are geographically close, so aku memang hopeless kalau tak dekat. In the office are all staffs, which means there's always limit.

3. Bye-bye to things that will melt my heart. Not because I don't love my other half, tapi because his not that kind. Putting hope untuk husband2 yg tak akan romantis adalah a waste of time. U might as well accept the fact and move on. After all, it is life.

4. Things i thought of everyday are just work and kids. Nothing fancy.

5. I realize that it is of no point arguing with those who won't change their mind. Dulu, aku akan argue jugak. But now, dah mellow. Malas dah.

6. I have already considering of not including slimming in my wishlist. No point when i have not work hard enough to slim down. Why i'm not working hard enough? Tah.

7. I have accepted a lot of things yg i wouldn't gave up 5 years back. Opinions yg dulu2 aku mesti tak accept, i do now - cth : jgn bawa anak pi mana2, susah, sbb depa buas. Well i kind of accept that now. Maybe sbb MIL duk ulang beribu kali.

8. Staying home is a bless. Lazying on the couch & watching tv. I use to not know whats on tv, tapi maybe sbb dulu2 we cant afford astro & parents takut anak2 asyik mengadap tv. And dulu, going out adalah best, be it to dine, shop, or just looking around taman-taman.

9. I do not want new friends. Rakan2 baru hanyalah those i met in work. And i dont consider them as friend.

10. My sleeping time is earlier. No more staying up late, except when my boss is demanding things.

Agak pathethic pulak aku when i'm older.

Or maybe happiness are defined differently, as we grow.

The weather here in Penang is not so clear, almost everyday hujan resulting in bertimbun baju tak basuh.

Err kalau clear weather pun, at times timbun jugak kan?? ;)

Kat rumah pun agak gloomy, kakak is sent to Langkap. Atuk is not so happy with her progress with iqra' , saying sepatutnya darjah satu dah naik quran.

Betul jugak, tak set target utk dia, mmg lambat lah. So atuk bawa balik kampung, to mengaji plus mandarin tuition.

Kakak tak gloomy lah, since :

1. Dah dpt jalan ke langkawi
2. Dpt birthday bash di hotel, ibu pun tak penah
3. Present byk, including a set of barbie stationary from her opah teh.
4. Beside Adam, she's the center of evrything, walapun kadang2 kena cepuk dgn opah

So, tinggal both the youngest kat rumah haruslah aktiviti limited sikit. Tak ada ketua clan.

Still, look what happens in the house. !!

Nampak dah ada tunas. Mungkin kalau nak buat soto tak payah beli taugeh, hehe.

We had a great weekend, i.e berjalan-jalan without thinking a bit on our weekly house spring cleaning.

Dah la mmg once a week shj ada cleaning. ;) sure FIL aku mengeluh kalau dgr, and he has been. Honest kan kami?

Even the school's uniform & shoes are left unwashed lagi until just now! Dahsat sungguh penangan kemalasan & berjoli.

We went to Tadika Amal Pintar's raya feast, The Floating book Fair, queensbay to watch Smurf, but tix are sold out so we bought the next day tix (sunday), eat out & window shop.

Semua flat on the way home, just to find out that we cant stay home tomorrow sbb tix dah beli.

Sunday is a bless sbb we manage to meratah bowls and bowls of soto akak gerai market bkt gedung, before going off to the cinema.

The smurf is smurfing attractive to the kids, plus we watched the 3d version, lebih excited lah depa.

And when the moon emerge, mulalah buat hal, the ninja's dont wanna sleep, mungkin sugar overdose akibat kek lapis sarawak.

Seterusnya membawa ketensionan to the mother, who just realize that she have piles of laundry to be done & shooooootttt an important email yg asyik ditangguh2.

Padan muka.

Maka at 9pm, everyone dikerah tidur. Kalau tak, pasti akan ada amukan mlm ni.

The ninjas, they just love to try. Curiousity level tinggi.

"Apa kata kita gelak2 dlm gelap ni, ibu suruh tido tapi rugilah kalau tak guling2 atas katil, gelak2 dan sepahkan bantal selimut ni. Or better, jom kita main lari2 dlm gelap ni. Ibu ingat kalau off lampu kita tak boleh main kot" - dialog rekaan, tapi i think it is 99% precise, at least dlm hati.

And when ada bunyi mcm rusuhan je dlm bilik depa, ini sudah lebih!

Kalau amukan yg ninja request, amukan lah yg dapat.

Kisah seterusnya kena censored. Ada tangisan2 of course.

Akhirnya all of them fall asleep, forced.

And when they sleep, they wont be easily distracted, ko bunyikanlah tv kuat2 pun. They looked angelic and sweet.

See, baik kan?

Masa2 nilah ibu will feel sorry for what i've said n done. You ninjas are just kids, u dont have to suit your playing to my mood and bad habit. Tapi ibu paksa jugak..

When i'm mad, i tend to act half conciously, sorry for being such a mum. Sorry because u didnt choose to be my kid, and living with my weaknesses.

Esok mcm mana? Can i be patient and nice? Allah, please..

Saw the billboard ads on one of my normal route to work. Sungguh tempting.

Admission fee is only RM1, and free for kids below 12 !

Read some review from those went in, super tempting. Dah aku tak pernah naik cruise kan. Float saja pun menarik.

Logo's Hope will be in Swettenham Pier, Penang until this weekend (25th), and their next stop :

Must be an exciting visit for Ilhan, she has read 2 story book now.

As i havent found apps for blog update for BB, i'm live from en shahrun's iphone.

Best jugak baring2 sambil blog.

And last nite's dream was horrible. Mimpi Ammar passed away sbb suka sgt minum ribena, and rupanya there's some stuff in the drink yg akan mengakbatkan kematian.

Walaupun sounds ridiculous, but it feels so real. Aku bgn berpeluh, terus check Ammar kat sebelah. With relieve.

Dlm mimpi tu, aku dah letih menangis & menyesal for not spending time and loving him a lot lot lot lot more.

And bila bgn, aku realize that like it or not, death is certain. Setakat ni mmg takde org mortal, kalau ada, sure dah bersedih sepanjang hayat tgk semua org meninggal.

Deep inside, mulalah aku fikir mcm2, how time flies and love is not poured enuff for those we love. How old our parents are now, walaupun i have always deny it. How siblings are not anymore as close as dulu2, when we see each others everyday.

One day, if not me, these loved people will go.

Will we be able to accept the fate, relieved that we have spend the best time together and know that he/she is going somewhere better?

Or will we cry days and nite, in regret?

Time nikah adalah amat sedih, at least to me. First time adik lelaki ku di akad kan. Apa yg aku sedih tahla, but aku sedih. I'm sure my SIL will take good care of him (apakah, aku pun bukannya jaga si Faiz nih), and she love him so much, tapi nak sedih jugak.

Maybe because, like it or not, marriage will bring a person to another stage of life. U won't be reversed to your previous stage.

Your priority change, your lifestyle unconciously changed, either for love or just for the sake of living your life.

Like it or not, my brother wudn't be able to always pick up my phone calls and listen to my crappy problems, he on the other hand will not call me to mengadu as before. Instead of only me and Atiqah missing during Hari Raya, Faiz will not be around to sometimes.

A bit selfish, I know.

But I'm happy for him, takkan lah nak pi simpan adik aku tu jgn bagi kawin2, tapi aku boleh pulak. And I'm sure she's the most suitable woman for him, and insya Allah for us. Hopefully, she'll be better than me sebagai in-law (aku dapat markah 50% je kot)

Tapi yang paling tak tahan adalah, Reen menambah bilangan manusia kurus dalam family aku. Stress ok bila kadar manusia overweight adalah rendah, chances is kalau aku turun 10KG pun, aku lah yg paling gemuk.

That my friends, is one of the reason aku hampir-hampir menitis air mata. Shesshhh.

bye-bye 1st baby teeth

With lots and lots of tears, Ilhan's first baby teeth falls out. Or sebenarnya, dicabut dentist.

Actually her front teeth dah menampakkan sifat-sifat untuk gugur, but she refuse to be touched, or even examined. We first saw her front teeth agak jarang dari biasa,signing gigi kekal sudah menolak gigi susu.

Tapi, being Ilhan yang drama queen dan soap opera queen, jangan tanya pun. Dia sensitip. When asked why your front teeth nampak pelik, she'll digest that ask me saying she's not pretty.

Anak-anak dara memang begitu.

Tanya pun susah, let alone nak pegang-pegang gigi dia. So, we decide to wait until balik kelantan or perak, because normally she'll behave extra cooperative in kampung.

Balik kelantan, ada dental clinic nearby, Klinik Dr Irma. Check her in, and the sweet dentist said, gigi ilhan dah goyang, and her permanent tooth dah nak keluar.

She put on some cream, tak tau untuk apa, and jab ubat kebas kot kat gusi. With one move, cabut terus gigi dia. Sedih pulak tengok baby tooth itu.

The dentist said gigi ni dah takde akar pun, lucky we came now sebab gigi kekal dah keluar and finding space to locate.

So, Ilhan dah besar, sebab dah ada gigi kekal. Soon, her first period, first time leaving home, and disunting orang. Jauh pulak aku fikir ;)

Kapal terbang

Weekend datang lagiii.. selain memenuhi weekend dengan ultraman the series, budak-budak tingkat 11 ni juga memunggah & sambil koyak2 kertas.

Pity them, sebab mostly, cuti adalah time balik kampung. Either to Perak or Kelantan. Kadang-kadang je boleh jalan-jalan. Weekend panjang je sikit, kami pun cabut balik kampung. Not that balik kampung tak best, they enjoyed it so much. Tapi, depa pun teringin nak jalan-jalan tempat lain.

The ninjas, the have a lot of suggestions bila ditanya kemana nak jalan-jalan :

Melaka - suggested by Ilhan. And I'm not sure why. Maybe she read somewhere about Melaka
KLCC - kangah, she loved it last time we went to KL and want to repeat.
KL - Ilhan, for she thinks KL is very far. Katanya, boleh naik kereta lama-lama.
Zoo Negara - Kakngah, she's very specific kan?
Sabah & Sarawak - Ilhan, she said so she could board the flight.
Taman Belia - This my friend, is just in Georgetown. But Kakngah, she enjoyed the public swimming pool there.
Anywhere, tapi ada sungai - ilhan, kangah & ammar enjoyed sungai so much.

Huh, suggestion depa ni is more a less places they have been. While both of us nak bawak ke somewhere they've never been.

Tapi, Ilhan's suggestion to Sabah & Sarawak, so she could board a flight agak convincing. Idea bernas, sebab all of them, while picking me up at the airport most of the time will grumble, "Asyik-asyik ambil Ibu je, kita tak naik kapalterbang ponnn..".

So, travel anywhere, but by flight it is. We were looking at cheap tix by Air Asia & Firefly, but to travel 5 orang, adalah a bit mahal. Even to Sabah.

Or maybe, I'm just cheap, heheh.

He on the other hand, tak de suggestion. Asalkan ikut ibu, alahaiiiiii

or, anyone has a better suggestion?

My kids forced me to watch the royal wedding live on Astro, mula-mula agak reluctant tapi after a while, best jugak.

1. The princess is so pretty.
2. Her dress, is gorgeous

KL - we came, we conquer, we enjoy! - Part 1

This is my long pending update. Our recent visit to KL.

We were actually thinking of going Malacca or Genting Highlands for the last school break.

Tapi, our leaves has to be cancelled due to en shahrun's meeting schedule, plus the unplanned holiday kat melaka & ghiland will be agak sesak considering we have 3 ninjas to travel with.

We reapplied another leave, decide to go KL, sleep over dirumah adikku sayang ;)

We went on Thursday, singgah di Langkap first, need to collect the 2 girls, they stayed at Atuk's from day 1 of school break.

Friday morning, we went straight to KLCC, Aquaria. The ninjas we having a good time, especially Ammar, dia suka ikan!

Kangah pura-pura tak takut

Aquaria is fun, just I think the entrance tix is a bit expensive. We have aquarium in Penang, smaller than Aquaria, tapi collection dia lebih kurang, minus the shark and ikan pari besaq. Tapi entrance is just RM2.
But again, maybe sebab dia duk kat KLCC.

Dah habis pusing Aquaria, we went out KLCC just to show the kids that they're in the famous Twin Tower KLCC. Oh, sungguh impress ninja2 ku. All the way after that, whenever they saw KLCC (dalam TV, dalam buku, etc), they'll shout out - wahhhhh KLCC, kita dah pi, kita dah pi... huhuh.

Jam belum pukul 5 lagi, so we decide to go to KLCC's partner, KL Tower. We hope to get some luck on the tix price sebab kan its TM's tower. No luck, just a few percent discount.

Since we're there, we took the family package - RM38 per person. We get to see the observation deck, Animal Zone and F1 Simulator.

Ok, nanti sambung ya!

pursuit of happiness?

Tone di blog ini adalah selalunya tension je, kan? So hari ni I'd like to list out things that have made me happy recently :

1. When I learned a bit about my work, technically. Oh sungguh happy. Ok, aku agak lembab sebab dah setahun baru nak paham, aaaanyway at last paham jugak kan?

2. The recent visit by my parents, happy banget.

3. Kejayaan berlari walaupun hanya 2 km, for 3 days including Saturday. Excited sebab I felt sweaty! Lama wehh tak peluh2 gitu.

4. Ilhan will proceed to Iqra 4 soon, nanti dia naik quran dah. Happy!

5. Berjaya membeli 2 cardigans. I'm not into cardigans sebelum ni, but yg aku beli tu chanteekkk ok. And berjaya menampakkan aku kurus dimata sendiri. Jadilah.

6. Happy that at last, dear Shahrun realizes his potential, in work mostly. ;)

erkk, 6 je? ;) i'm that tense kot. Kena pi berlari2 kat hutan mcm kawan aku tuh, sure ilang tense2.

During my absence here, banyak yang telah saya pelajari ;)

I learn that God has already choosen the most suitable partner for you. Don't hesitate.
If the relationship didn't last long, that is always His mysterious method of telling us there are things to improve in us.

Anger, can be managed. I should be pun. Aku selalu lah marah-marah budak2 ninja kat rumah ni, but i find that doesn't work. Cubalah other ways. I know there are parents out there yang sama macam aku, and we're scared to admit it.

Yelah, ko tengok orang lain tak pernah terjerit2, and anak2 semua behaved kan?
Takpe, kita serupa.

Senyum pun ada makna nih...
There are kids yang agak cheeky in this world. Masa dia cheeky tu, just remember, bukan anak ko sorang je yg berguling2 dalam shopping mall, anak aku pun.
And forget about those people yg tak suka budak2 yg I would say agak physical (i.e agak buas). Yang meluat tengok budak2 mcm ni, they'll just tense u up. It's good for them, their kids are behaved. And it is also good for us, our kids are outgoing and creative.

Maybe it is a bit late for me, but now I understand how life is always about your children once you have them. And, u must look for exclusion time for yourself to maintain your insanity.

It is important not to be too comfortable. The first step of going away from your comfort zone is painful, and the following few steps cud be more painful. i have like 3 straight week for 2 courses, gila. Which, biasalah I'll choose the shorther course, 1 week. I'll be in KL next week people!

The normal Takasima F1. Penat weeyyhh. Setelah sekian lama menyimpan peluh, akhirnya panting every evening. I seriously hope that I'll be consistent, banyak duit dah dilabur nih. I literally swear on my first day (dah la baru 10 minutes berlari), gila penat.

Best is the treadmill comes with a free basikal magnetik, which is quite small so we could place it infront of the tv. Boring2 dan sambil menonton tv, sila kayuh (arahan en shahrun). I looiikke, better than folding clothes.

Apa yang penting, istiqamah semestinya. Moga-moga lah, kalau tak jadi ala-ala model, jadi ala-ala JLo pun ok. hihi.

And healthy.

The bad thing is, ada je lah ninja2 ingat the treadmill is one of their toys. Sekarang ni, ayat seperti, "kakak dah takde benda lain nak main, boleh main lari-lari tu?" selalu kedengaran. So berlari, harus mengunci bilik stor.

It's a phone friends. And you can even take pictures from the phone and conversations will be over the earpiece and mic.

I want this phone, more than i-phone so i could be power rangers in the middle of Georgetown. Cool huh?

I can point and take pictures, without the model realizing it. When there are incoming video calls (yes, fascility available), u can converse sebijik mcm power rangers.

There are few selected times when I cook, selalunya masa extra-extra rajin.Contohnya :

1. Laksa - at the MIL's, she likes laksa. Plus point memasak dirumah MIL adalah ada orang tolong kemas and the kids are well taken care of.

And the recipes is the usual.

2. Puding triffle - sebab super senang. Recipe macam haritu. And I did this sebab the kids can do it together.

3. Pulut kuning - this is purely sebab all the 3 ninjas love pulut kuning with telur goreng so much. I colored the telur orange, to add up seri, hohoh.

Rendam dulu pulut semalaman dengan kunyit dan asam gelugor.
Rendam lama sikit so the pulut kembang.

Pastu, kukus pulut tu. Dah agak lembut sikit (dalam 15-20 minit).

Pastu angkat dan gaulkan dengan santan. (ratio 500gm pulut dengan 250-300 gm santan pekat).

Aku masak dulu santan tu sekejap dengan garam.

Gaul, then kukus semula another 15 minutes hingga lembut.

Pastu boleh lah makan. Kami makan dengan telur goreng gulung.

Ada lagi satu nak tunjuk jugak sebab berjaya, Roti Jala. Tapi gambar takde la pulak.

And, I've thought of a long list of azam for the new year. But knowing myself, most probably aku berangan mat jenin je nanti.

Last year, I've only listed 1 wishlist and checked done! Walaupun only to Brunei & Singapore.

Maybe 1 wishlist sahaja akan berjaya kot, sebab focus lebih. So here goes :

This coming year, I'll take care of my solat. Not proud to reveal this, but at times, I do miss my solat.
Especially isya', when I think I'll do isya' after making sure the kids are asleep, at last aku tertidur sekali.

Of my rajin days, last weekend me and the 2 anak dara did Nasi Ayam Penyet and Puding Triffle.

Nasi Ayam Penyet

Recipe taken from Mamasya's blog, recipe Palembang she said. We choose that recipe, memandangkan that recipe is easier than others i've surveyed, and also ingredients yg lebih simple.

Result - ok lah for our first time work together. I think the sambal is so sedap.

Took the recipe from Potret Kasih. As always, sebab simple & mudah. Tapi tak de gambar.

It was fun doing work with them, except for ada je yg nak menambah pelbagai perasa sendiri & a few sessions of merajuk bila tak bagi buat works involving hot wok.

Both of them request nak buat lagi next time, so tunggu depa balik from kelantan we'll do another project.

Normal kah :

1. seorang ibu marahkan anak-anak sebab tumpahkan makanan, let say almost everyday?
ataupun, tu memang proses pembelajaran anak, so why bother marah?

2. seorang ibu ada rasa nak be on leave for 2-3 days tak pun seminggu, away from the kids?
ataupun, ko tunggu la dah tua nanti, rasakan bila anak2 nak take leave setahun dua jaga ko?

3. ibu biarkan je anak-anak main sambil bersepahan. kadang-kadang habih kotor. sebab tak larat nak marah. Ataupun, mak jenis apa ko ni? Spend time with your kids!

4. kalau dengki dengan anak orang, sebab behave? And anak ko tak behave langsung. Ada je aktiviti berlari-lari nak dibuat. Takpun bergaduh-gaduhan. Ataupun, dah memang salah ko, anak tak behave. Anyway, sapa ajar depa jadi tak behave?

5. kalau tak dapat tidur malam-malam, just to watch tv. Sebab thats the only me time yg ko ada.

6. kalau rasa sakit kepala, sebab some things tak dapat dibuat dengan anak-anak yg ramai. Contohnya nak pi supermarket, pening sebab akan ada aksi berguling. Ataupun, lantak jelah. They're kids?

7. kalau rasa agak down, sebab kerja tak dapat dibuat sepanjang masa. Seperti kalau ada kerja-kerja malam, ko tunggulah anak-anak tidur dulu. And the next day, jadi orang bodoh sat sebab tak pandai-pandai kerja. Or, memang ko yg cari pasal, dah tau ada anak, spend time mostly masa office learn your work.

8. seorang ibu memendam rasa, sebab dah dekat 6-7 tahun asyik beli baju bawah RM50, kasut dah koyak baru cari ganti, takpun pau kasut adik beradik. Walaupun raya. Nak kena beli baju anak-anak yg tak payah cerita harganya, sebab anak dah tarik muncung panjang. Ataupun, wajiblah pendam je rasa. Mak ayah ko dulu pun bukannya senang bela ko, kan?

9. kalau benci tengok rumah sendiri? Kalau dah jenuh kemas & alter mana-mana yg boleh alter, tapi still akan dirosakkan budak-budak kecik? Ataupun, relaxlah.. let the kids learn tru experience. eh?

10. kalau rasa malas nak cepat-cepat balik dari office to fetch the kids. Sebab dah tau dah, dalam kereta akan start pelbagai jenis perang. Dari ultraman sampai lah ke hagemaru. Even nak keluar dari kereta pun kena ada skill memujuk.

Normalkah? Ada anyone have the same situation with me, at least 60% of it ?

Kalau tak, mungkin aku kena pegi jumpa theraphist/phsychitrist or join the anger management class.

But, I still love my kids. Don't ask how do i know. I just know.

Last weekend, bila rajin tiba, aku masak nasi ayam penyet.
Bersungguh-sungguh, pukul 730 dah siap nak ke market.

Siap ke market, singgah gerai roti canai,
Bagi seisi rumah breakfast dulu,
sementara aku masak lunch.

Habis lunch, ke Queensbay.
Takdak arah, tapi pegi jugak.

At last dapat jemputan ke kampung pelet.
so, lepas maghrib makan pulak kambing grill, ayam kampung & whatnot

balik rumah, akibat sengsara sehari makan banyak
tambah lagi makan, fitnesse cereal & teh o.

sengsara sungguh jadi aku.

Last Sunday, I was doing some 5s in the house with hubby, particularly in the solat room, when Ilhan & the gang messed up big time at our living room. We both were very tired (yelah, lama gila tak 5s), and being us, we yelled at Ilhan for she has always lead this kind of activities.

At that point, so angry, I was saying something like this to her - if you're around, ibu will always be angry. Go away!. That's me folks, with thin iman & thick anger.

Truth is, all of them did that, tapi being the eldest, she's always been the main target.

And, yesterday during lunch hour I received a call from Masyitah's kindy. Ilhan is here, they said, sent by some chinese man. She's ok, but the chinese man found her wandering around the road and crying.

Her evening kindy (she went there for fardhu ain & quran classes) moved to a nearby rented premise, and missed to inform both Shahrun and me. And her van driver, left her at the ex-school gate, without even looking if she has entered. So, she knocked and knocked until she realized no one's there.

She's thinking of going to Masyitah's place as it is around that area. Walaupun agak jauh. Which is why when the chinese man pick her up, she informed him to send her to Masyitah's kindy. Bijak jugak.

But, upon hearing that, menitik air mata. I remembered the thing I said yesterday, and true enough Allah tested us. A mother, wants her child to go away, and Allah tested me how it feels if she's truly away.

Ye kawan-kawan, ibu's words are doa.

So please friends, ambillah iktibar dari kesilapan saya :

Check and always check your kid's van driver. If he's ignorant even once, tolong jangan buat tak tahu. Do something, at least call the driver and let him know how important it is to the kid's safety. And stalked them too once in a while:

I've once being told by the teacher that the driver always left Ilhan at the school gate, not checking if she safely entered the kindy. My fault, I did nothing.

Please do be extra friendly with your kid's teacher. They might forget those who are not. Macam saya. Resulting me not receiving any news of the school relocation.
Give your kids your phone number.
Always always always find a reliable guardian. Be it the school the driver or whoever taking care of her.

last night Ilhan told me, the driver once left her alone at the road side with the van. The van is out of fuel, and he needs to buy some. Ilhan has to locked the door and be silent.

Never never never never say inappropriately. Say good things to your kid. You're a mother kan?

So friends, don't repeat my mistakes. I wonder how I'll be if we were to lost her (God forbid).

After a while.

Year end concert

For the kids' kindy. Ilhan & Masyitah. Ilhan's was held at Dewan Sri Pinang, very grand tapi aku rasa the concept was not creative enough. All they did was dance with fancy dresses. Gambar ada with her uncle, i'll upload later. And tak berapa meriah since Ilhan baru habis a week of high fever. She stalled once she saw her atuk, atuk pulak melambai dengan semangat waja.

Masyitah's was a decent ceremony, yet the teachers are very creative. She did recite some surah lazim, tapi once she saw us, terus stop & buat aksi ratu cantik. She was very excited during the whole ceremony, again seeing her atuk excites her more. She sang so loud, lead the group and refuse to get away from the stage. Sengih-sengih.

We went to watch the Final Piala Malaysia, of course on the The Red Warrior's side (walaupun takdelah sokong sangat, I don't care sapa menang, asal main best2 saja). I was not supposed to join the crowd, but I have no choice as Ammar is so excited to "ole, ole". The red waves is so big, I can't even go to the toilet. And they put so much hope, I've thought of going out from the stadium in case TRW hasn't score any goal on the 60's minutes.

For those who has come to my house, surely knows our standard. Rumah seperti PPRT haha! No kitchen cabinet, old wardrobe (yang type orang bujang guna tu) & full of boxes. We've been living like that for we've never thought that we'll stay this long in the house.

Looks like we'll be staying until another 2 years minimum, so we've bought a new wardrobe - for towels, beddings, curtains and baju2 yang tak cukup space. That, is our first attempt untuk mencantikkan rumah.

Next month maybe boleh sambung part lain - painting & kids wardrobe.

These few days, perut aku adalah sangat meragam and my back hurt so much.
I guess, banyak angin, and angin akan keluar merata-rata, heh.

Rasanya, the food i take and the lack of exercise, tapi bila aku ingat balik, 10 years back, I can whallop whatever and takde angin-angin pun.

Ni sekarang ni, when I took 2 slices of labu sira my MIL kirim - ishkk sedap.. not so sweet, and the labu is still crunchy. Best is when you stored it in the fridge for 1 day, sejuk dan nyaman sekali memakannya.
Mulalah, next day akan jadi penuh dengan angin.

So not comfortable.

Lagilah if I took food that has a lot of spices. Macam recently, aku buat kari daging, super pekat with all the spices included. Spices ni membuang angin2 kan?

I've had 2 days of uncomfy tummy with back pain yg nasib baik ignorable.

But, yelah, aku kena project correctly :

10 years back, no pain
now, bearable pain
10 years later ? huh

I used to wonder, when my mak always has to minum jamu pagi-pagi and occasionally went to see the massus, apa best sangat ke jamu pahit mak tu?

Plus, Makcik Normah tukang urut mak tu super lah kuatnya mengurut, sakit wooo. During my confinement, dia lah urut aku, so memang aku tau penangan makcik ni. Siap leteran-leteran panjang kalau tak minum jamu.

Sekarang, rasakan.

Or maybe jugak I've taken too much food? Dan berat pun bertambah. Which adds up the weight my back has to carry? Pastu complaint perut meragam padahal tadi makan best je.

And the losing weight story never ends.

Tapi, what I must do now is to singgah kejap kat Bukit Jambul sat lagi, and drink a cup of selected jamu yang dibancuh aweks indon yang cun. That has always helps out.

And next week, harus cari kedai mcm tu kat area Komtar, for my long term solution. (oh, and maybe next week baru boleh start diet, minggu ni byk open house, ;) check the word maybe ya!)

Kepada kawan-kawan yang dah kawen - korang mesra tak dengan mak mentua (MIL) ?
Mesra yang, ikhlas?

I was asking this for, aku rasa we have limits. Aku teringin jugak nak treat my MIL as how I treat my mom, but tak boleh la.. macam mana eh?

Of course she's a different person, mestilah ditreat differently. Baru dia rasa happy. Takkan tiba-tiba nak ajak dia joget-joget dalam rumah macam mak aku, sure pengsan orang tua tu.

I don't think she hate me, and aku perasan macam dia suka jugak kat aku, tapi aku pulak tak berusaha mati-matian pun nak please dia. Sombongkan?

I still has this selfishness in me. That mother is always mak, and no one can replace or share place with her. Yer, I know that our husband's mom is our mom, love her as one. But I can't find ways for her to be on the mother's chair. She'll always be in the MIL chair.

A chair which is supposed to be tak exist pun, aku yang create so I can justify myself.
Mesti korang rasa, takpelah, at least aku treat her as MIL.

Takkkkkkk.. aku ni jahat rupanya. When I put her in MIL chair, she's not my mom. Nak tau what I did to her? Silalah :

Aku cakap ikut dan aku, without thinking if she's hurt by my words. Part of it because, I do not know (tak berusaha nak tau pun) what kind of words/intonation she like. Macam mak, don't ever sweet talk her, say it right to her face, pastu say it with confident, ko cakap meleleh, lagi dia menyampah. MIL?

Aku buat things pun ikut style aku je.. tak pernah nak ikut style MIL, which at times, better. Contohnya, kalau ada kenduri-kendara kecik2, aku super malas nak transfer lauk2 dalam different bekas, letak jelah satu bekas besar, pandai2 la buffet.
But she's very proper, bekas mesti ada banyak2 so orang tak payah beratur walaupun buffet, and women can ambil food tanpa segan silu. Aku degil jugak, dengan alasan malas nak basuh bekas kang. Kalau mak, I'll tell her "mak nak ke basuh bekas byk2 kang? hehe".

What ever MIL commented, I think of it as an insult takpun, as penyibukan, eventhough she meant good. Once she commented that I should have handwashed Shahrun's slacks & jeans, don't machine-washed it, as it will ruin the fabric. Bagus kan comment dia.
But I take it as MIL wanted to point out how lazy I am, and why bother how I wash things?
Tulah, cuba kalau mak yang cakap, sure aku dah agree and buat je.
Pastu ada lagi satu, she bought me a tea set, saying that we have no good set, so ada ni senang la orang nak datang. Isk, marahnya aku. Dalam hati aku kan, macamlah tea set aku tak elok sangat. Padahal I'm supposed to be happy, orang bagi hadiah. Yang nak sensitip tak ketahuan hala tu apsal?

If I were to list out everything, mula rasa macam nak kena panah petir.

But, itulah hakikatnya. My MIL, she's a soft women. A housewife with super squeaky clean house and super rajin with all her daily dishes, normally cooked traditionally. She has never raised her voice, and never put on pants, all kain all the time. Hebat kan? She will be worried about small-small details, like the un-rhyme names of our kids, whether my children has had breakfast before the went for school (bangun pun tidak), whether I still have stocks of keropok and budu, and such.

Unlike me, yang tak payahlah diceritakan.

She, has put efforts to make me like her. Dia selalu sebut, "bukan apa, nak tanya ni, sebab anak-anak.. ul ni anak jugok.." which I'm supposed to be flattered. And she has always prepare food i like, when I'm in Kelantan. Baju-baju jangan cakaplah, pantang je ada kain, she'll send it to the tailor, washed it, and iron it before giving it to me - "dalam almari tu ada baju baru, ambillah".

Haishh.. But until todate, I still can;t put her where I put my mak. Kejikan? And tak bersyukur pun ada. Ramai je MIL (especially Kelantanese la yang aku selalu dengar), who doesn't like their DIL yang outsiders (non-kelantanese).

Back to my main point - macam mana sebenarnya nak sayang kedua-dua mak, seikhlas hati? Aku ni dah dosa banyak, dok tambah lagi ni.. tolong ye..

And it is very humiliating for me to admit that I haven't collect as much pahala as being offered. As if I have too much of pahala, I can't be bothered to chase for more.

I felt selfish to Allah when I thought that :

- I have kids to take care of and can't recite the Quran, here she is with no complaint

- I can't join the office daily tadarus for not wearing the proper baju kurung, these chap do it without hesitation. What's important is the cloth is clean and covers.

- I have so much to do in the office, taking care of the house, husband and kids, and wouldn't be able to squeeze in time. He on the other hand didn't bother much of his inability.

Shameful.

But, all say and sigh will not justify anything. It is not syawal yet, and we still have got time. Jom baca Quran!

Found this from Yaya's blog, and sangatlah menarik. With my current rate of time filling - tv it is- and the kids that would have to be observed each time we were out, this is the best option, kan?

Korang pernah dihantui kejadian mistik? Ok aku tak pernah, and do not wish to,

tengok pontianak harum sundal malam pun aku takut

But sebulan ini, penuh dengan kejadian staff yang dilanda sakit-sakit misteri.

A young staff, staff baru plak tu, baru umur 23. Sakit lutut & dah pi klinik, hospitals sampai tak larat pi. Mula-mula I thought he was lying, tapi bila kerja kat site, at times he was unable to move his leg. Dragging it and muka dah pucat lesi tahan sakit.

When asked, he told me, abang dia pun sakit juga macam ni dulu. Baru je meninggal last month. Doktor pun tak dapat pastikan sakit apa. But when they saw the ustaz/bomoh, the sickness has something to do with black magic.
Kes kedua pulak, staff ni aku agak ragu-ragu. Sebab dia yang cari pasal involving himself in the black magic field.

It started when he's blessed with a down syndrom baby, with complex heart problem. He was searching here and there for cure (i would too). Akhirnya, terus berminat dengan black magic, and practice it.

He started to form a silat team and people come to see him for medicine and treatment.

Recently, he's been absent for quite long. Bila ditanya, he's on MC. Unsatisfied, I went to his house, to check on him. He's as pale as ghost, with limp legs. His kids were all in the rooms, unable to wake up. Apapun yg jadi kat dia, jadi juga to his family. Anak2 dan bini. Muntah2 darah.

He told me, it was because of the saka he wanted to take off from someone, tapi tak menjadi.
Kes ketiga, not my staff. But his wife. Has been sick for quite long, 2 years i think. Same too, he suspected it to be saka from his wife's grandma, but he based it from the ustaz he met.

He's a dedicated staff, and when he requested a lot of urgent leave, i was wondering what happened. He once took a video of his wife during her treatment with one of the ustaz from Darul Syifa'.

It is scary.

Honestly, sekarang aku kesian dengan semuanya. But, it is difficult to explain these kind of illness to my boss. Macam akulah, unless aku tak pi tengok sendiri, I won't believe it.

Sudahnya, just now I asked one of the case above to apply VSS. When I think about it, rasa macam kejam. Dahla kawan tu sakit, aku suruh VSS. Tak ingat ke masa dia sihat, kan dia kerja ok je.

When I asked him, I did think that this is the best for him. Rather than being chased by me, for reasons & evidence that he can't come to work. And rather than being accused of pemalas by his colleagues, sebab some of them did not visit him.

Tapi la ni, aku terfikir, siapalah aku nak decide what's best for him. Nasib baik i was just giving him a choice.

Ish, payah la tengah period ni, mix feeling, melarat ke mix thoughts.

Tapi aku agak pelik, bulan puasa ni kan syaitan sepatutnya kena ikat. Yang duk sakit lagi ni, sebenarnya, selain syaitan ke eh?

Pagi, after sahur, melepak disofa

We had padprik ayam, telur dadar & kailan ikan masin for sahur, all bought from kedai tomyam downstairs, for our convenience. Hehe, for my convenience.

Dah En Shahrun tamo beli barang2 mentah. (salah orang jugak aku ni).

Hopefully, kakak Ilhan can puasa for the whole month, since she's not very interested in food, so dia rela je. Last year, she did it for 2 or 3 days.

Kakngah as usual, I have to inform her teachers not to feed her unless she can't take it anymore. Am a bit worried about her eating habit, suka sungguh makan tak henti2. I'm praying so she could at least fast 1 full day this year.

I have registered myself to the tadarus programme by our company, sebab dah lama dah tak dapat complete tadarus in Ramadhan. Tapi 1st day dah terpaksa ponteng. Anyhow, tahun ni kena cuba yg terbaeek tadarus jugak.

Owh, and i've bought my baju raya, 2 pasang. Had a full day meeting somewhere near Jalan TAR on Friday, so boleh membeli belah. sangat jimat, RM100 2 pasang.

So, tak sabar nak balik satgi, to check how's their puasa.

Bahlut - by Faisal Tehrani

In my attempt to read one of Faisal Tehrani's masterpiece. Heard of him a lot, even from my Ayah. Worth a try, sebab aku rasa Faisal Tehrani's unlike most of other Malay novels yang aku baca, ada jalan cerita yang menarik, a lot of details dan takdelah terlalu fokus pasal bercinta-cintaan je. (But then again, aku baca novel melayu last sekali was last year, maybe my opinion doesn't count. )

Bahlut is about an aboriginate boy (orang asli) from Pahang's live. Macam mana penindasan terhadap orang asli ni sebenarnya, part of it disebabkan orang asli sendiri.

My Bestfriend's Girl - by Dorothy Komsoon

Leisure read, good book Bagus, sebab this book overachieved what i've expected. Hehe. Good for parents, sebab even Kamryn; the best friend who took care of a daugher of her late best friend (a child with her ex-fiance) can love the girl, affectionately. Unconditional love, I called.

Korang boleh ke sayang anak yang dilahirkan hasil hubungan rahsia dengan your lover/fiance? haha.

Not so bright morning

Nampaknya kejadian amuk ditingkat 11 semakin menjadi-jadi.
Pengamuk, kakngah, memastikan setiap pagi tidak aman, dan penuh drama.

Kakngah yg posing lepas dah siap nak pi sekolah.
(p/s : my 'wallpaper' - very the nice kan? haihh..

Pagi ini, beliau mengamuk seperti biasa, questioning whether ibu mandikan dia or just basuh badan dia.
and then, the drama goes on.
Air mesti panas, air sejuk menyebabkan kakngah terketar2, eleh.
Baju sekolah mesti dah iron, dan kakngah cuma nak duduk saja, ibu tolong sarungkan semua. Demanding.

Jika ayah check beg kakngah seperti pagi ini, dan of course akan jumpa byk benda pelik, kakngah akan terasa hati.
Barang2 yg dijumpai dalam beg :

1. Duit syiling byk, duit ayah.
2. Sampah2 dari beg kakak
3. Buku2 coloring yg dia dah koyak2
4. Cotton buds, byk plak tu
5. Hair clips kakak
6. Sweets, lots of them
7. Tudung ibu
8. Underwear dia, super banyak (patut la sampai ada hari yang takde underwear)

At times, opah pernah jumpa cdma phone opah dalam beg sekolah kakngah.
setelah ayah buang semua benda2 tu, kakngah merajuk. Mostly, about the sweets. She's super sensitive when it comes to food, terutama sekali sweets.

" siapa suruh ayah buat cekelat kangah, cikgu yg bagi..-sedu sedan- kesian kakngah..... -sedu sedan- apa maknanya ayah amik cekelat kangah..."

dan sekarang kak ngah request nak menu biasa dia dipagi hari, bekalan kesekolah - nasi lemak dengan udang & telur rebus, campur kuah kuning.

No wonder nak angkatt dia super berat.

Yeay nak sampai peak!

Weekend, rather than cleaning up the mess we left at home, after 2 weeks of frequent travel, we head to Gunung Jerai.

This time around, bukan hiking, hanya utk menghiburkan hati anak2, yg ditinggalkan merata2 quite long. Sian depa.
We stayed at jerai regency resort, at the mount's peak. Best, sbb sejuk.. Kakngah yg tido from the entrance until we reach peak (boleh naik kereta ya), thought its cameron highland, hehe.

Kan banyak kabus

went there with few other families, so mereka rajin masak & siap bawa portable gas cooker. Dinner & breakfast is free. I loikeee..

the room we stayed has view of part of kedah & at some bright hours, boleh nampak langkawi, cool. Room is nice, takde aircond sbb tak payah. The resort plant pretty flowers, which my 2 daughters love so much, sampai baring2 ambil gambar.

And they do have a hall for sports - badminton, ping pong, pool, dart, basketball & they have bicycles for rent too. We only did played ping pong sebanyak 3 match, and aku kalah semua.. Hoh.

Tapi turun dari Jerai, kami ke Radix Fried Chicken, sg petani for lunch. Ayam yg sedap, and aku rasa kurang lemak sket compared to KFC. Maybe sbb ayam dia organic.

And, we're heading back to penang, balik kemas rumah!

We went crazy deciding whether to move or not (tak abis2 kan? that's the art in our relationship, no case will be close, *grinnnn..*)
The Thomas Cup has made us half sakit jantung, screaming and what's not in the house.

Read this during my whole trip in Borneo. The book was given free by the hotel owner when we stayed in Brunei (rugi, tak boleh claim tax).

Natrah - Cinta, Rusuhan, Air Mata by Fatini Yaacob

Who doesn't remember Natrah @ Maria Huberdina Hertorgh @ Bertha Hertogh ? Read this book, strongly recommended.
As the writer said in her preface - this story is about Natrah, and beyond. U should be surprise of the beyond (ke aku je?)

The talks around the office lately has been about getting another wife. It's a fun topic to be discussed for all my staff, they're all man and mostly are over 40.

Some seemed serious about involving in polygamy, some just does the lip service.

And none has the courtesy of filtering any words, maybe I've been here too long, they just don't bother or forget that I'm a woman.

Aaaanyway, I do have some insight. Polygamy is the right way to share love, provided those who shares really love each other and really do understand the concept of sharing.

I don't . So to the other half - don't try.

And I've heard of a story, a real story (yeaaahh jom gossip), about a colleague's attempt to polygamy.

It goes like this, he's about my age, married to a fine woman, about my age too. They've been married for about 6-7 years, yet they haven't got any child yet.

It has always been about babies.

He wanted one, yet she couldn't give him one. So he decide to find another woman, who could give him a baby.

But, he's not greedy. He waited for the right time to tell and ask for her permission to get married, one more time.

She cried.

And he said, relax. You don't have to tell me your answer today. Let's go relax somewhere, cool down and think about it. Think when you're sane.

So they go to a holiday trip. And comeback, they talk about it again.

This time, the wife said she's still not ready for it.
He said, its ok. If she didn't permit, he won't do it.
And life goes on.

Ok some part of it, aku menambah rasa, but the core part of it is all true.

Best kan jadi the wife, knowing that your husband really loves you.

But on the other hand, mesti sedih jugak, not being able to give what he wants most.

And i think unless someone could think as rational and as calm as both the above husband & wife, don't think of polygamy.

Although most of the man here in my office do talk like they'll walk it, none try it.
So those wife yang rasa2 your man is my officemate/workmate, worry no more. Hehe.

And hopefully, I shouldn't be too.. ;)

I am :

This is my 2nd week at home, after we enjoyed our Sarawak-Brunei-Sabah journey.

(will of course blog about it later).

I've been bombarded with works, once I'm in the office.

Taklah banyaknya sangat, I know, but still being me, I'll be panicky, menggelupur and indecisive.

As if lah kerja aku tu super susah.

Besides all that, I still spare sometime to think of my next trip (sempatkan?)

This time, with kids.

Yelah, poor them. Asyik-asyik dicargo kesana-sini.

Kids, they're simple yet fragile.
Scold them everyday, they'll be chicken scared of u and do whatever u ask,

but long term, who knows what will the kids turn to.

Maybe someone who will be very very scared to try anything,

or maybe a person who can't decide for himself.

Ilhan Yasmin, compared to her younger siblings, has to be handle delicately.

I have once spank her, for being lazy and lembik while doing her homework.

(and when i said its ok to rest for a while, dia boleh siap lompat2),

I spanked her so hard, I could feel it on my hand.

And i regret it until today.
The mark of my spanking is visible on her cheek, 2 days after that.

I am so teruk.

Budak tu baru je 6 tahun, homework adalah so not compulsory.

Plus she's been bored.

And looking back, my biggest mistake was, at that particular time, I'm also being influence by work headache and someone yg menyakitkan hati.

Pity her.

Anyway, she's been avoiding me for at least the whole week.
Even avoiding to talk to me in phone while I was in Miri.
And she's been super sensitive, raise your voice a bit, and she'll cry, air mata meluru-luru turun.

My last trip, was enjoyable, yet I can't take off my mind from being guilty.
Teruk rupanya to feel guilty to your own kid.
Kalau dia buat salah pun after that, ko akan rasa bersalah yg amat nak marah dia.

Which in turn, being my child, mestilah dia pandai tactical.
Inilah masa terbaik untuk buat2 pelbagai kesalahan seperti melompat-lompat atas katil aku dan mengganngu gugat keamanan adik adik.

So, moms out there.
Take me as youe bad example.
Never hurt your children.
There will always be a way, a much much better way to teach them rather than physical abuse or hurtful words.

And to break even with Ilhan, we're planning to go somewhere near but needs the usage of passport,
hahah chewi kan?

So wish us luck. Rather, wish me luck, so i wont forget that Allah gave me children to be appreciated and loved.

Funny that I turn to the internet, to cool down for this.

My cousin whom always been referred to as my sister, since she live with us most of her schooling time, passed away just now.

I am speechless, a 21 year old who 3 months ago, just delivered a baby boy.
Yet, deep inside Allah knows whats best for us.

I have a lot to say to her, a lot of sorry, a lot of story, but I guess only this matters now, Alfatihah.

Bila bonus ?

I'm going to Mulu next month. Our main agenda is to see the great pinnacles and ride the long boat.
Flight tix has been booked, a year ago,
Annual leave, applied (not yet approved though)
Children will be cargoed to Melor, as usual.

But a slight problem there is,
The charges is a bit high to go to the whole Mulu package. Around RM700 per person.
So, we're thinking of taking off Mulu Park Package,
instead we'll go Mulu-Brunei-KK via local bus, for a sightseeing.

At first, I do agree, considering we haven't got any bonus yet to cover the RM700.
Besides, sight seeing via local bus, is not a bad idea, right?

Until, one of my ex-colleague came by to the office, boasting on his latest trip,
where else lah kan, Mulu Park.

So, he was chit chatting with me :

He : U also going to Muru right ? When ? (he's a chinese, can't pronounce the L properly until now..hehe)
Me : Yeah, somewhere April. Why ?
He : U should consider goin' to the park la.. i tell u
Me : I got no money la, RM700 mahal la..
He : Eh, come see my picture, I bring my pen drive already. Surely u cannot resist one!
Me : aaa.. open la the file.
He : See, this is the long boat we took, cruising the river..

He : And we all cannot tahan, see how clear the sungai, we straight jump la.. hahahah
(owh btw, he the skinniest among all..huhu)

He : And, this one, the great pinnacles. But u need to climb up the mountain sikit la.. this one aa, only a few in the world u know, very nice view..
(yeah, he's testing whether or not i'm still into climbing - we use to climb together, sigh with this extra kg..)

He : On the way up aa, u'll see a lot of beautiful plants, like the one we saw in kinabalu. Some more, got hanging bridge.

He : u see la, got some more pics

He : so, how? U still dont wanna go aa? Sure u cannot resist one..

Huh, true enough la Mr Koh, now I am praying that the company will be very nice, giving away a lot of bonus... owh and, tolong lah bonus masuk sebelum April.. huhu..

Real farmville, level infinity

We've just got back from my ex-staff's farm.

His farm, is something he could be proud of, it is even better than my level 45 neighbor in farmville.
And he earn his side income from the farm.
Hebat kan?

Ok, he started of with a few acres of land, deep in some kampung in Merbok, Kedah.
Cleared of the land, and tried a new species (species ke?) of pineapple.
The one that could grow as big as 3.5kg.

His wife, upon seeing the big land being planted with pineapple, doubted the decision.
She wonder if all the fruits could be sold.
Plus, his husband (my ex staff), has other business to take care off.
His core business, as a telco contractor.
So the farm will be taken care of by an Indonesian worker, no Malaysian would like to work there anyway.
The worker deals every transaction, even when it comes to payment and income.
Rugikan orang Malaysia.

Now, he has like 5 farms of pineapples and 2 farms of chillies and cucumber.
And according to his wife, the demand for pineapples is actually a lot. At some point, they can't fulfil it.
Orang buat apa eh dengan pineapple?
Factory took it to be canned, retailers for daily selling and hawkers for rojak buah.

He's earning a lot from this (so called his side income). A lot more than mine & shahrun's salary.

Life is a cycle.At least mine.

I'll be a domestic goddess, and gradually degraded into a lousy lazy lady.
When I start to feel uncomfortable with my unfolded cloth pile, I'll step up to not-so-lazy.
Once the pile reduce, I'll have a sudden energy to clean up the house.

It is still a few months away before I'm turning 30, and I supposed there's nothing big about it, it's a number representing years in Masehi of your life.

The only worries I have is that I feel I'm getting older.

Visible wrinkles, low metabolism (heh, in other word, makin susah nak kurus), and the obvious which bothered me most, is my eye sight.

Staring too long on the computer screen, is no more an easy thing. It causes me dizziness. And when I tried to focus, the sights are becoming blur.

Adakah kena pakai spec ?
Hopefully not.

I'm a lousy person, mesti tertinggal punyalah spec. HTC yang sikit punya besar tu pun aku tinggal sampai hilang.

Or, should I opt for contact lenses? Yang kaler-kaler, hot kan?

Heh, eye test pun belum buat. Ok, I should one day. The blurry vision is so not cool, I've to stressed my eyes. Tak pasal pasal wrinkles akan makin banyak.

And, if the result is forcing me to put on glasses, adakah akan jadi this hot?

Rombongan cik kiah

Kalau lah aku tiba-tiba kena berhenti kerja, the only job I can think of now is to be a tour company untuk rombongan kampung. Ala-ala rombongan cik kiah. Maybe I should name the company rombongan cik ul.

This my friends, is because I think I have successfully arrange a (one) trip for 44 makciks dan pakciks and a few chics, yang multi-racial ya! Siap ada aborigins lagik.

Walaupun saya tak pergi, tapi saya gembira sebab semua seronok, dan of course lah pengurus rombongan adalah cikgu Umar, dengan bangganya.

The trip was to Kuching, Sarawak. Naik kapal terbang u ols.. Their trip trail :

From my hometown a bus is provided to LCCT Sepang, arrange cikgu Umar.

They have to depart at 12:00 am, eventhough Sepang from there is just about paling lama pun 3 jam, and the flight is at 6:00 am - arahan cikgu Umar, takut lambat. hehe

LCCT Sepang - LCCT Kuching. That flight, for almost 90% of them, was their first flight. Bayangkanlah happy nya derang. Aku pun, on my first flight.

Sebelum pergi siap pinjam coat from mak aku, reason being, kat tv tu orang naik plane, kan pakai coat.

And among the FAQ before flight check-in are :

Apakah aktiviti yg sepatutnya dibuat dalam flight tu? Tahan nafas ke?
Boleh tengok keluar flight tak? Nak tengok bawah boleh?
And the normals - makan boleh ke tak? toilet ada ke tak? etc

Chartered bus for their rides in Kuching. And guess what, sebab derang spend most of the time outside, we book them TTC Kuching's room, cheap and convenient.

Best derang, sebab cikgu Umar arrangekan a meet-up session with the Kementerian Perpaduan Negeri (or s'thing like that), so dinner is free! Kat hotel lagik.
Dapat tengok tempat orang commercially buat kek lapis, dan dapat price yg best! Price best for ikan terubuk masin jugak, sebab ada some one local tolong refer.

LCCT Kuching - LCCT Sepang

Of course balik berbondong-bondong, yelah kalau aku pun, happy banget, beli kek lapis & ikan terubuk masin berkotak-kotak. End up, kesian jugak kena bayar extra for luggage.
Tapi dah confident dah cik kiah dan encik mat nak naik flight.

LCCT Sepang to my hometown - by bus.

The 4 days 3 night trips to just cost them lebih kurang RM300 lebih sikit per person, including flight tix, accomodation, bus, and tix untuk masuk tempat2 yg berbayar. Happy derang.

6 years and going on

We are very not romantic couple, nothing happens during our anniversary, which was on the 16th January.
Not that we don't appreciate the marriage, the 6 years of life and 3 kids sharing, the ups and downs, the yelling, the cries, the laugh and the list would go on.

Shahrun and me, we don't do candle light dinner, nor present exchanging. I kinda expect to have a romantic gestures from him in the earlier years, and felt sad when he didn't.

But as years goes by, priority changes. As long as he's good to me, I'm ok. Not everyone is capable of being romantic and lovely, besides being romantic and lovely is self defined, kan?

So this year, we did an ad-hoc plan, to watch Avatar, haven't watch the movie and can't afford to watch it on DVD (thanks to the review). And since the tix said movie will start only an hour after, we decide to have a fancy lunch (owh, kitorang mmg amat jarang lunch selain nasi campur) :

Grateful - bersyukur, is something I lack of recently. 10 years back, I thought bersyukur is an easy thing to do, and wonder why adults didn't.

It is not easy, at least for me, to feel bersyukur, dengan ikhlas. I don't know if I'm alone, but I don't think so. Mendengar orang-orang bercerita, I think I'm not alone.

Why don't we feel grateful?

Because maybe, the grass is always greener in the neighbor's lawn. This is sifat-sifat aku yang I failed to ignore.

I remember a friend, upon hearing a story about coffee & cup and everyone else replied that the moral of the story is we have to feel grateful of what we have and focus on the most important things in life; he didn't approve.

Instead, he argued that if we have option and chance to grab both good "cup" and good "coffee", why don't we? Why stop and thinks this is all I worth and feel grateful?

True indeed. Why ?

Back to the topic, and rephrasing it; Is it ok to feel grateful, when u haven't got the best out of everything? Like having good coffee in an expensive pretty cup.

Or, actually we need to feel grateful for what has been designated for us is what's the best for us?

Not indeed. After a few unsuccessful attempts of continuing this entry, I realize that we should all be grateful for what has been granted to us.
And that doesn't mean we should stop striving for the best.

If the analogy is still the cup & coffee story, be thankful for the cup you're currently using, and the coffee u're sipping. Sip it to the last drop, and take good care of the cup.
And, do not forget to find better coffee, with a better cup.

Life log - to Masyitah

Masyitah has been very naughty these days. Nakal sehingga I've to log this, so to record and maybe one day, she'll read this and notice how naughty she has been.

First on Friday, she refuse to wake up for school. Refuse to take bath, throwing tantrums and it's already 8 am. Aku memang dah agak dah, sure lambatnye hari ni.

After we've finished our battle in the bath room, she refuse to put up her school tudung, instead she insisted on wearing her school's telekung.

Memang mengundang kemarahan.

We end the second war by a mutual agreement, "KakNgah pakai tudung ibu ni, putih jugak, kalau tak ibu tinggal KakNgah sorang-sorang kat rumah". MOU signed, so we went for school at around 8:30 am.

Yes, I'm super late to work that day.

And today, right when I turn my back away from her and Muhammad Ammar, to sidai baju-baju, both of them climbed Kakak's bed. (Kakak sleep above Masyitah, on their double decker bed).

The door opens, their Ayah balik.

Being Masyitah, she is always excited over everything, nak menerjah Ayah. She pushed Muhammad Ammar down.

First, I heard a loud cry. Then, I saw darah menitik kat lantai. Then, muka Ammar yang penuh darah. Nak terlonggar lutut aku.

Rupanya his teeth, 3 batang tau, patah!

We went straight to clinic, which advise us to go to the dentist. Dentist pun tak boleh nak conclude anything, except for suruh datang lepas dah habis bleeding and dah hilang bengkak.

Marahnya her Ayah kat Masyitah, tak taulah level mana.

Yet, she can always comment innoccently.

When I told her "KakNgah tolak adik, dah hilang gigi dia, kesian dia, macam mana nak makan?"
She replied " Itulah, ibu tak bagi dia cavity, kan colgate ada cavity.."

I was like, what??

Hari-hari kerajinan saya

These 2-3 days, I'm in domestic-goddess mode, konon. A bit rajin at home here and there. I cook, and if I'm cooking, I consider myself as rajin :).

I tried Salad Terung Grill, recipe taken from Blogresipi. Sedap and most importantly, senang.
Owh, and cubaan mendiet juga.

Here goes the recipe (version yang dah di tambah tokok from blogresipi) :

Bahan-bahan / Ingredients
1 biji terung / eggplant / 1 brinjal
1 biji bawang besar / 1 onion
3 ulas bawang putih / 3 garlic
2 batang cili padi / 2 bird's eye chillies
sedikit cili merah / red chillies
daun ketumbar / coriander leaves
2 sudu sos ikan / 2 spoon of fish sauce
2 sudu air limau / 3 spoon of lime juice
sedikit udang kering / dried shrimp

Grill the eggplant, or u could just celur it for a while. Cut it into half or any way u like.
Cook the dried shrimp on pan, without oil, sehingga masak sikit.
Chopped all other ingredients (yang boleh dichop lah), finely.
Mix the chopped items & dried shrimp with fish sauce and lime juice.
Add in sugar and salt to taste.
Sprinkle the mixture on top of your eggplant.

Ready! Trylah.

Delivery

Labor pain and how to recognize them

Labor pain (for me) is like period pain. Easier to explain to those yang pernah rasa period pain.
Unlike what u see in movies (tetiba sakit, terus nak terberanak) labor pain (contraction) will gradually increase, along with its frequency. Your doctor will normally advise you to time the contraction.
There are a few signs of labor :

braxton hix - early sign. Practice sign; some says.
bleeding
water broke

Whatever the sign is, note it and consult your doctor.
And this is what I do when the signal comes - eat. Do eat because u need the energy. And relax.

What should we do during labor?

I walk. Even in the labor room. To ease the pain and smoothen the cervics opening, kot. At least that's what my doc said.
Relax and follow the doc's instruction. Don't forget your prayer and ingat Allah banyak2. This is going to be a battle between life and death.
Ayah-ayah, silalah memberi concentration yg ultimate terhadap ibu-ibu.

Let's move to post-delivery.

Which product should I use, which one is the best?

I use this, ok jugak.

Well, for me any product will do, provided you take them with discipline.
If your baby seemed uncomfortable (yang breastfeedlah), stop the intake, or maybe take less.

What should I do during confinement?

Depends. Ikutlah nasihat mak & ayah. Sebab setengah orang bertungku, setengah bertangas, ada yg orang tungku kan, aku tungku sendiri je. So depends.
But eat healthily, janganlah asyik nak kena makan ikan masin hari-hari. Ada je lauk pauk dan sayur-sayur yang boleh dimakan during pantang. Kalau aku dulu :

Ikan2 yang tak gatal - ikan merah, ikan nyut2 (mak aku kata).
Meat, chicken, even lamb.
Sayur sawi, sayur kucai, sayur kailan, carrot, brocolli, caulliflower, dan mcm2 lagi aku tak ingat.
fruits - kalau korang tak boleh makan sayur, take fruit. Apples, grape, banana, pear.
But avoid chillies, tapi aku tatau apesal. Mak aku suruh ganti dgn black pepper.

Do wrap ur belly (barut ke bengkong ke). Memang jadilah. Aku kalau lepas bersalin sure 3-4 bulan ramping. Lepas tu, makan tak hingat and gelebeh..
Oh yeah, my brother did say, kan masa kita pantang kita bleed (wiladah & nifas), so masa-masa nilah syaitan minat nak dekat. Do avoid bersedih-sedihan, ataupun perbuatan2 yang boleh memudaratkan, ingat Allah.

How about the baby?

This part, I think yang paling susah. Dealing with another human, whom you have to didik dengan baiknya.
Tapi awal-awal ni, normally babies will behave. Antara perangai-perangai babies aku :

Nangis malam-malam - maybe sebab dia tidur siang-siang. Malam dia nak main, tapi parents nak tido. Babies tak kenal siang & malam lagi, so be patient, and ajak baby main siang2. Dia letih sikit malam
Nangis tak tau sebab.

Normally, kembung perut. Rub ointment, tapi jgn minyak panas lak. Minyak telon pun ok.

I used this dulu.

Maybe napkin terlipat salah, dia tak selesa. Or maybe mittens dia ada tersangkut sikit kat jari-jari dia. That kind of small things. Babies kan tak boleh buat sendiri, and tak reti nak bagi tau kat mana sakit.
Ataupun nak tidur. Ada jugak anak aku yg nak tidur kena nangis dulu.

Yang part lain-lain, jaundice ke atau pun health problem lain, do refer to the paed.

Hmmh.. tak byk pun yang aku tau. But sharing is caring kan?

Actually, I've been planning to blog about this since I've heard the news.

Takziah, buat keluarga Shafni Mohd Eusof, yang telah kembali ke rahmatullah pada 1.1.1980.

She's 29 years old, TM staff, and info from my staff she died in her sleep. Suspected due to appendix. I didn't investigate or asked around whether betul or not, and maaf kalau silap.

She's been a friend of mine since we met during futsal training, 2008. But, being me, walaupun dekat je satu Penang, I rarely contact her, in fact anyone kecuali yg aku kena contact pasal kerja, walaupun she's a type yang boleh dibuat kawan.

And now, aku macam terkedu. Unexpected. Sebab orang kata dia sihat je.

Dan benarlah janji Allah, tidak terlewat sesaat pun.

Back to the title (which I copy paste from Ust Zakuan Tak's email dolu-dolu..), kita yang tinggal menanti hari.

Congratulations, you're pregnant!

Before you congrats me, nope I'm not pregnant.

Recently, banyak pulak yang bertanya everything about pregnancy, delivery and post-delivery to me.
Maybe sebab I've went tru the process 3 times secara rapid, heheh.

But, frankly, I'm not that good in taking care of myself or the baby. Boleh lah share, tapi tak lah hebat dan rajin. So, I guess untuk mereka-mereka yang agak tak rajin macam aku, I list what I do for my pregnancy until post-delivery :

Pregnancy

Most of us will experience morning sickness. I do. Since ada yang menangis2 tanya aku mcm mana nak hilangkan loya-loya, here goes :

I took crackers/biscuits, late night before tidur, when I woke up in the middle of night, and the first thing in the morning. It helps fill in your tummy, dan helps reduce angin2 yg masuk.
Oily food is a no-no, at least for me. So avoid it.
Do not skip any meal. Always snack, and choose your snack. It might take a while to find the right snack that doesn't make u vommit, but be patient. My advice - Google for snack that could help reduce your nausea.
Do not snack on asam-asam/jeruk-jeruk too much. Its not good for ur health. Acidic kan? I know, I know, with the heavy headache and uncomfortable tummy, asam-asam adalah tempting. Take it, but control your intake.
Be strong, eat up (and eat healthily) because the vitamins and zat-zat will be shared with your baby. I say this sebab, aku pun ada masa-masa yang letih dah makan and vommit, rasa macam taknak makan langsung.

Where to do routine check up ?

During your early pregnancy, it is wise to choose where to do your routine check-ups and that better be where you want to deliver. Why? Because you want the same doc to examine you, and who knows your health condition to help during delivery right?
Unless, you opt to deliver at GH. Which is not a bad choice at all. So, do your check up at the nearest Klinik Kesihatan.
For those who choose private hospitals, I suggest you to also register yourself at the Klinik Kesihatan, and do tell them you are going to do your routine check up & deliver at private hospital.
Because, by registering you could enjoy the benefit of government nurse coming over to your house post-delivery to check your stitches, help check the baby and even bathe the baby.
And.. in case you are away from home, tetiba nak deliver, there's no private hospital nearby (or u knowlah private hospital memacam nak..), U can always check-in to the nearest Klinik Kesihatan (which is everywhere) or GH. Sebab they keep your record, just bring your patient card.
Kalau register kat Klinik Kerajaan, don't forget your Sijil Nikah, original copy.
Oh, if u feel anything weird, even if u are not sure if its weird or not, please do consult your doctor, or any doctor, or in my case; Mak (tapi mak aku bukan doktor). Don't take anything for granted, especially if this is your first pregnancy.

Should I do exercise ?

I did. During my 3rd trimester. Bukan lah berjoging ke melompat bagai. Just walk, and main-main air di pool. It helps with your stamina and stamina is what u need for delivery.

When should I start buying things for the baby?

I'd say start early - during your second trimester. Unless, of course kalau duit belambak, lagi 1 week nak deliver boleh beli. Start early, so that u could budget things right.
Apa nak dibeli.. Hmmh.. I always use this list, convenient and complete. Given by Julie. (this is a snapshop, aku tak reti nak upload file or paste it here, so in case sapa2 nak just do request it)

When I was a kid, I've been dreaming of boarding a flight, to anywhere.
So, soon as I get good PMR result in 1995, I requested Ayah to buy me a flight tix.
It's Ipoh - KL only, but I can't stop feeling good for the whole month.

But God knows better, even I'm accepted to do pre-U to go to Japan, I can't.
MMU offers first, with scholarship.
Parents mana yg tak nak anak dia dapat scholar kan?

Takut jugak tengok budak-budak lain stranded kat airport, dan disuruh balik sambung kat IPTA.

So there goes Japan, and the dream.

When I start working, I am secretly hoping that I could get a chance to go anywhere.
Anywhere cool, snowy and unlike Malaysia (eksyen, i know).
Staying away, missing my family.
Mingling with others, understanding cultures.
I thought, It must be real fun.

Cantikkan?

But again, God knows better.
Not even away from Penang.

And, I learn that I need to learn how to be thankful.
Bersyukur.
Not everything I want, is everything I need.
and vice versa

At least, itulah yang I've always thought, untuk melegakan hati.

But the dream has never fade away.
I've always look for chances to go overseas, one of it, is to further study.

I am reluctant to further my study, and I told a friend that I don't think that's what I want for now.
Truth is, I'm scared that I can't even pass my exams, I do not have enough RM for that, anak-anak macammana, husband macammana, all sorts of things.
And I'm aware that I might not be getting any scholar now. As the competition is tough.
Plus, I'm so lack of confident.

Lagipun, its just not right to further study, just because I wanted to stay abroad.

Entahlah aku ni.
Like Rodek said in his blog, betwen A-Z, there's always convergence point.
A point when we decide how to live our life, and soon death.
I've yet to find that point.
But I must.
Owh, aku dah meracau.

Setakat ni aku pasrah, mungkin ada sebabnya Tuhan tak grant my wish.
Mungkin macam budak kecik mana tah yang poyo nak gi overseas.
Kan dah mak-mak sekarang, jaga je lah anak tu.

Just, tahun depan (2010), aku still wish I could go anywhere.
Singapore jalan2 seminggu pun ok lah.

Out of the island into the highway

I always feel like getting off from this island to somewhere. Which probably explains why my home is a mess. Stuffs are inside boxes, as they don't fit in any of my few cheap cabinets. Furnitures are bought temporarily, as we don't even know if we're staying here or not.

Indecisive, we are.

I've always thought that its Shahrun who can't decide what's next, when deep inside, I knew it takes two to tango.

We're in a comfy stage, not luxurious, but just enough. At times, not enough and normally holes are patched, that's constant. Only time is variable. Not comfortable for u maybe, it is for us, for the time being.

We are always talking and discussing about life changing. How we're supposed to work harder, take risks and grab opportunities. But we never did any of that, except for having children.

We're still indecisive. The answer is definately A, but B offers less risk. Let's opt for no answer.
That kind of things.

Sometimes, there are goodness in not choosing anything. For instance, we don't have to move anywhere from here, and spend money on movies, clothes and shoes as we like, for we don't have reason to save it.

Blame the hormone, I'm insanely bored and PMSing.

Though, these are indeed true.

Monday
1. Morning - Nasi goreng kosong with telur mata and Teh O
2. Lunch - Lemang with rendang tok
3. Dinner - Nasi with kari ikan and ayam goreng. Limau ais.
** sungguh unhealthy

Today
1. Morning - 2 piece of bread with peanut butter (unhealthy)
2. Lunch - Nasi with loads of vege and kentang pedas. Air barley
3. Tea - pisang goreng 2 and apam balik (colleague aku bawak balik, irresistable)
4. Dinner - (updated) nasi separuh dengan kailan ikan masin.

All in all, saya memang pemakan. Perlu stop makan banyak nih..
Jom naik tangga gi tingkat 3!

I planned to write a lenghty story about her; my style. But I'm drained out of ideas. She's my eldest, and currently away from me, even talking to her last night shed my tears.

My staff is back from long holiday, and all these are homecook from Kuala Kangsar. So, so delicious.

Tempted sangat sangat, until I realize, OMG, this is supposed to be a non-meat week!!

(Ye lah kan, padahal masa aku bedal tu tak hingat!)

After a few days of no meat except for fish.. hmmmhhh...ok, I'm lying. I did take some chicken, but much much less than what I use to take.

Result is : It feels good in the toilet. I mean, kerja-kerja didalam toilet sangat mudah sekarang. I don't need extra energy. And that, makes me happy :)

I don't google for the reason and detail explanation, sebab aku nak buat reasoning sendiri.

I believe it is due to the goodness of green, sayur-sayuran.. Betul kata Hasna, memang peeing and pooing is easier, and tidak mengecewakan. U guys know how frustated it is when activities in the toilet are super slow dan berpeluh-peluh and at times, tak jadi. Pending appointments plak.

So I have made a resolution for me, heh. This week (until Friday it is), I am not taking any meat, except fish. And my plate must be filled with green, more than rice.

And then, we'll see what happen.

And, I'll be paying my debts (puasa-puasa tinggalan), sedikit demi sedikit starting tomorrow.
I must.

So let's hope this little effort will help improve my unhealthy life. We gotta take the first step anyway, right?

Owh update from Ulfa Deli.

They are now selling fondant cakes. Quite interesting, sebab my bro-in-law amat pandai melukis2 dan membentuk bentuk cakes itu jadi macam2.

This time, they're opening the delivery up until Ipoh and KL.

I've no picture of their latest fondant cakes, tapi this is their display cake, masa work in progress.
